Welcome to smilephiladelphian.

Our Staff

Our staff is comprised of highly motivated team players; all have the common goal of treating patients in the most caring and relaxed atmosphere possible. Most have been with us for many years.

Our Business Office - Pat and Reese are warm, friendly and knowledgeable and will assist you in arranging appointments and in clarifying insurance and financial questions.

Pat Meehan started in the dental field in 1977 after attending Delaware Valley Academy. Pat changed rolls from assisting to receptionist in 1983. She has been working with Dr. Sukoneck & Wilson since January 1990. Pat was instrumental in bringing our office into the computer age.

Pat enjoys her position at Sukoneck & Wilson, P.C. where she meets and greets our patients and starts their visits with a warm smile. Delighted to be employed in an office that feels like a second home, Pat is an integral part of our dental family. Over the years Pat has witnessed not only the changes in our office but in our patients and their families as well. She hopes to continue growing with the practice, as advances are made and changes occur.

Away from the office, Pat loves being a wife to her husband, Dan, and a mother to their three beautiful daughters.

Originally from the Lehigh Valley, PA. Reese Ruffino graduated from William Allen High School in 2003. She moved to South Philadelphia with her boyfriend Bobby in October 2006, she has worked in the dental field for four years as a dental assistant and treatment coordinator. Reese joined Drs Sukoneck & Wilson's practice in April 2007 She enjoys going to concerts, animals, and spending time with family and friends.

Our Assistants - Helen and Alicia are certified as Expanded Functions Dental Assistants, and work side by side with the doctors to give you the best care possible.

She moved back to Philadelphia in April 1997, working in another pediatric dental office. She came to Drs. Sukoneck & Wilson's practice in September 1997.

She loves going to the theatre, opera and movies. She also enjoys reading and needlepoint. During the weekends in the summer, you can find her in North Cape May, New Jersey. Helen has a mentally challenged cousin, Debbie with whom she loves spending time with.

A native of Norristown, PA, Alicia Falco began her career in dentistry after a routine visit to the dentist. She graduated from Manor College in 2003 with a degree in Expanded Functions Dental Assisting. Her career with Drs. Sukoneck and Wilson began in 2007. After four years in the field, Alicia finds her career is a satisfying outlet for her creativity as well as an excellent opportunity to work within a diverse environment.

Alicia's life is fueled by the love of her family and friends, by humor, by art and by random projects that she devises such as transforming a remote-controlled car into a cat carrier. In addition, Alicia loves being near the mountain and the beach and loves showing her Philly Pride.

Our Hygienists - Annette and Maryanne, are both fully licensed in Pennsylvania. They are experts at cleaning your teeth, educating you in the preventive care that keeps your smile healthy, and in providing the finest periodontal treatment when necessary.

Annette has been with our practice for over 19 years. After graduating from Manor Junior College, Annette worked as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with Dr. Sukoneck and Dr. Wilson for a few years before returning to school to pursue her career as a dental hygienist. Annette resumed her full-time employment at Sukoneck & Wilson, P.C. as a dental hygienist in September of 1993. In her spare time Annette enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. This usually entails driving someone somewhere or everyone everywhere.

Maryanne Vidal-Flynn was born and raised in Philadelphia, just blocks away from our practice.  She graduated with honors from Community College of Philadelphia as a licensed dental hygienist with an Associate degree in Applied Science.  After graduation she worked part-time as a hygienist in order to spend quality time with her husband and son.  Some of our patients may remember Maryanne, as a student from Hallahan in her blue and white uniform, working for us after school everyday.  She started out filing charts and eventually progressed to helping run the front desk.  Now Mare is a valued part of our hygiene team and clinical staff.

Angela Dubinski is currently a senior at John W. Hallahan Catholic High School for Girls. She enjoys playing softball, going to the beach in the summer and spending time with friends and family. Kaitlyn is an enthusiastic and hard-working addition to our office!

Where are they now?

Over the seventy-five years we've been in practice, there have been many long-term and loyal employees you may remember. Many ask if we heard from someone in particular or if we know what's going on in their lives.

One person that many people bring up going back to the days of Dr. Katz is Helene. Helene was both the dental hygienist for Dr. Katz and Dr. Sukoneck. Still living in the neighborhood, Helene frequents the office for routine dental care and to drop off her delicious baked goods. Helene enjoys hearing about the patients who still remember their visits with her.

Suzie Meehan started working at Sukoneck & Wilson, P.C., when she was 17 years old and a Senior at Little Flower High School for Girls. All grown up and pursuing her career in nursing, Suzie has left our office to work at Einstein Hospital. Suzie still keeps in touch via her mom, Pat, and we wish her all the best in her new endeavors.

Our admired hygienist Blair moved to Texas for family reasons. That's too far to commute, but Blair does plan to work with us from time to time when he is visiting relatives in Philadelphia.

Jennifer Chaffee has moved on to pursue specialty practice and remains in the Philadelphia area.  The Philadelphia softball scene needs Jen!  We wish her well in her new endeavors!

You can look forward to hearing about some of our treasured employees in our future newsletters.
